Santa Cruz County
The Twentieth Legislature created Santa Cruz County on March 15, 1899 from southeast Pima County. The county is named after the Santa Cruz River which meanders through the county. The county seat is Nogales.

SG 7. Superintendent of Schools

SG 8. Superior Court
Records filed by the court officers, plaintiffs and defendants. During the territorial period the Federal District Court was Arizona's primary court of jurisdiction at the county level. District Court jurisdiction and records were transferred to the County Superior Court upon Arizona's admission to statehood. There is significant overlap of court records until 1912. District Court records include court minutes, judgment dockets, and jury vouchers and lists. Civil records include Registers of Action, Judgments, Minutes, Civil cases, and Marriage records.
