The Preservation Directorate at the Library of Congress provides several excellent articles, including Peter Waters' classic, Procedures for Salvage of Water-Damaged Library Materials.

Conservation OnLine (CoOL) contains several excellent articles and numerous disaster plans, mostly from university libraries.

The Disaster Preparedness Clearinghouse was developed by the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, a division of the American Library Association, for libraries of all sizes and types.

The AMIGOS Preservation Service offers advice, referrals and workshops in disaster planning and other subjects.

The Southeastern Library Network (SOLINET) Preservation Service offers on-line articles, referrals and recovery assistance.

The Northeast Document Conservation Center maintains a selection of disaster planning technical leaflets online.
