Scope and Content

This collection consists of personal correspondence, a memo of travel, and military records of Charles J. Croft, predominantly from his time as hospital steward of the 1st Cavalry, California Volunteers, at Fort Goodwin and Fort McDowell, Arizona Territory from about 1863-1866.
