Blue Steel / The Dawn Rider -- DVD17
A double bill of early John Wayne Westerns. In the first, the young star has to track down a notorious thief and stop a gang of outlaws from terrorizing a small town. In the second, he trains his sights to the ruthless bandit who killed his father during a bloody robbery. Fisticuffs, fast guns and deadly, dramatic showdowns. 1934


Deadly Companions -- DVD20
In Sam Peckinpah's directional debut, Maureen O'Hara is a dancehall entertainer who hires a disreputable gunslinger (Brian Keith) to help escort her son's body through dangerous Apache territory. A somewhat quirky western with visual bravura. 1961

Lawless Frontier / Hell Town -- DVD57
AA double-bill of vintage John Wayne Westerns. In the first, with help from a grizzled old miner and his lovely granddaughter, young Wayne seeks the outlaw who killed his father. In the second, he signs on as the ramrod for a cattle drive and runs into rustlers on the trail and a rigged card game at the end of it. 1934


Lonesome Dove -- DVD226-229
In 1876, legendary Texas Rangers Gus McCrae (Robert Duvall) and Woodrow Call (Tommy Lee Jones) decide to drive a herd of cows north, aiming to become the first cattlemen in Montana. A Hallmark special 4 part mini-series. 1989.


Man Called Noon -- DVD71
In this stylish Western based on a novel by Louis L'Armour, a gunfighter (Richard Crenna) who loses his memory when he's hot in a n ambush, sets out to discover his identify and why parties unknown want him dead - as they show in one dusty frontier town after another. With Stephen Boyd and Farley Granger. 1973


Manhunt -- DVD198
After spending his savings on a couple of racehorses, a young wrangler runs afoul of a wealthy rancher who takes the horses from him on a whim. When he tries to take them back, the young wrangler is convicted and sent to the Arizona state prison. Stars Ethan Wayne, Bo Svenson, Ernest Borgnine, and Henry Silva. Violence. 1984.


McLintock! -- DVD166
John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara strike sparks in this epic Western version of The Taming of the Shrew. Packed with action, humour, romance and grand fights, it features fine performances from the stars and a superb supporting cast (Chill Wills, Yvonne de Carlo and Edgar Buchanan). 1963

Rainbow Valley / Beneath The Arizona Skies -- DVD99
A young John Wayne stars in two of his early Westerns. In the first, he's hired by the town of Rainbow Valley to oversee construction of a road over the mountains. In the second, he protects his young Indian ward, Nina, from a gang of outlaws who covet the oil royalties the little girl has inherited. Galloping good fun. 1934

They Call Me Trinity -- DVD120
When a land baron (Farley Granger) enlists Mexican bandits to drive Mormons off their land, a saddle-bum (Terence Hill) and his rustler-turned-sheriff brother (Bud Spencer) stand up for them. This entertaining Western features hilarious stunts and action aplenty. 1971


True Grit: A Further Adventure -- DVD175
Marshall Rooster Cogburn battles injustice in his own quirky way. He has his hands full when a teenage girl he's protecting gets set on reforming him. Stars Warren Oates. Violence. 1978.
