FREE DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE

An article in the Spring, 2007 issue of Hoosier Highlights, the newsletter of the Indiana Library for the Blind, alerted us to a free directory assistance service.  The number to call is 1-800-373-3411.  You are asked for the city and state and then the name of the person or business you are requesting, followed by a list of names to choose from.  Before the number is given to you, you do have to listen to a brief commercial, but it is not at all intrusive and you can skip hearing more about the product or service being offered.
