NOW HEAR (AND SEE) THIS!

Described DVD’s available through Arizona Talking Book Library.
by Ron Bryant

Thanks to a generous grant from the Arizona Friends of Talking Books, your library service now offers DVD’s described by AudioVision Canada.  Nearly 200 titles with subject areas ranging from drama to westerns to comedy are awaiting your selection.  Many titles that were not available or could not be replaced on VHS are now in our DVD collection.

The instructions for using the movies are as follows:

  1. Carefully remove disc from its clam shell container and place movie in player with fingers only around edges of disc.  Never touch playing surface.
  2. Movie will load and begin to play.  In addition to fast forward and reverse, the features are broken into chapters approximately every 10 minutes.  Enjoy!
  3. When movie ends, remove disc from player with same care as loading and return to container by placing disc’s center hole between clam shells’ inside raised middle portions.  Close shell by pressing on the middle of the container’s front and back.   The disc should snap into place.
  4. Place in shipping carton and return to library.

Don’t be a Palooka (DVD90) or a Human monster (DVD67)!  Beat the devil (DVD14) and begin your Amazing adventure (DVD11) or Great adventure (DVD35) by ordering a described DVD today.

For a complete listing, consult the library catalog.  An index to the movies is provided on the library homepage at http://www.lib.az.us/braille/movies.aspx under Described Videos and DVDs.
