Welcome to the Digital Age of Talking Books

image of machineThe library will soon have digital talking book machines for distribution to patrons. These new players will be easy to use, more durable, smaller than the cassette player and will have a longer battery life. The books will be recorded on digital flash cartridges and one cartridge will hold an entire book. If you would like to try one just ask your librarian to put you on the waiting list. Please keep your cassette player too because many of your favorite books will still be on cassettes. If you read magazines they will all be in cassette format for some time. No computer skills required.
