The Library Development Division

(LDD) of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. Its
purpose is to inform library staff members across Arizona of upcoming
continuing education events and give brief status reports on programs
and projects that LDD consultants are overseeing. Phone numbers and
web sites are given for more detailed information. Library Development Division News is mailed out and posted to
this website every month. The first edition was published
in January 2005.
Libraries in the News
The Diane Rehm show recently discussed libraries' changing roles and featured ALA President Camila Alire, PLA President Sari Feldman, and D.C. Public Libraries Board of Trustees President John Hill. The guests explained that many people are turning to computers, books, and other resources offered by libraries to help with their job searches, health issues, community networking, and educational goals.
