State of Arizona Executive Orders
Executive Orders are issued by the Governor of Arizona to establish boards
or commissions or to authorize the performance of other functions that
are appropriate to the executive authority of the Governor.
The Law and Research Library has copies of the Executive Orders of Arizona's Governors
from 1965 to the present. The Call Number for the Executive
Order series is GV 1.3 :E 93/number.
Digital copies are also available online the Arizona Memory Project. The collection includes Executive
Orders issued since April 22, 1965 (E.O. 65-1) contains an abstract of
each Executive Order as well as a link to the full text of each Executive
Order.
The full
text of Executive Orders issued from November 25, 1981 (E.O. 81-7) through
November 10, 1986 (E.O. 86-12) can also be found in the Arizona Administrative
Digest, which was published by the Arizona Secretary of State. The
full text of Executive Orders issued from November 20, 1986 (E.O. 86-13)
on can be found in the printed issues of Arizona
Administrative Register, which is published by the Arizona Secretary
of State. Executive Orders from April 9, 1999 on can be found
on the Arizona Administrative
Register Web site. Governor Brewer's Executive
Orders are also posted on the Governor's
Web site.
