Procedures To Carry Out Activities
LSTA funds will be used for statewide projects and competitive direct grant programs which support the goals, priorities and activities in the Arizona plan. Notice of availability of direct grant funds will be mailed to all potential participants along with a timetable and full application packet. This information will also be posted to the departmental listserve and web site.
The state library staff and/or selected subject specialists will review grant applications with the final decision being made by the State Librarian. This process will include the Advisory Council after that entity has been created.
The Development Division staff will consult with each successful applicant to review the evaluation process and the establishment of acceptable baseline data. Project review procedures, forms and reporting requirements will be distributed to grantees. Staff will do onsite visits with each project director to ensure the project is resulting in the desired outcomes.
